24-hour rotating outer ring
Innovative high-tech
This model is equipped with a black dial and a two-tone Cerachrom ceramic bezel in gray and black. In addition to the traditional hour, minute and seconds hands, the GMT II is equipped with a separate 24-hour hand and a bidirectional rotating bezel with a 24-hour scale.

The 24-hour hand is uniquely shaded to indicate the reference time in the first time zone (e.g. the time of residence) and can be read by means of the scale on the outer ring opposite it. The watch's cleverly designed, independently adjustable hands allow the wearer to easily adjust the time via the winding crown without affecting the minute and second hands. Thus, the traveler can read both the time of departure and the time of location at the same time, regardless of the time of day, ensuring precise operation.

Like all Rolex Professional watches, the GMT II's unique Chromalight luminescent display ensures clear reading in all environmental conditions, even in the dark.

The large hands and simple triangular, round or rectangular hour markers are coated with luminescent material for a lasting glow.

Gold, bright and noble, is fascinating. Steel, strong and trustworthy. The two are harmoniously combined with other characteristics.

Gold and steel, a signature feature of Rolex, were already present in Rolex models in the early 1930s, and the name was officially registered in 1933. It is also one of the distinctive features of the Oyster collection.

Jubilee strap
Flexibility and comfort
The GMT II is fitted with a Jubilee strap. Flexible and comfortable, the five-compartment link Jubilee strap was specially designed by Rolex for the Oyster Perpetual Logbook in 1945.

The Jubilee strap is fitted with a Rolex-designed and patented Oyster safety clasp to prevent accidental opening of the clasp. The strap is also fitted with easy-to-adjust links developed by the brand, allowing the wearer to easily extend the strap by approximately 5 mm for a comfortable fit. The concealed lugs ensure a seamless visual connection between the strap and the case.
