Outstanding Achievements
The Oyster Perpetual Day Date 36 in platinum with diamond-set turquoise dial, triangular-pitted bezel and President strap.

Turquoise dial
A millennium jewel
The dial features hour markers in 18K gold set with 32 diamonds and Roman numerals VI and IX in 18K gold set with 24 diamonds.
Turquoise is one of the few places on earth where only turquoise is produced and has been considered a treasure for thousands of years thanks to its unique hue. The beautiful structure of turquoise and its rare blue color, which also complements gold and white gold, made it the choice of Rolex. This material is only available for the Day-Date model in 36 gold or platinum.

Features of Rolex
The Rolex triangular pits are a distinctive feature of the brand's watches. Initially, the triangular pits on the Oyster bezel served a practical purpose, helping to secure the bezel to the case and ensure the watch's water resistance.
The pits on the caseback were designed with the same idea in mind, and were screwed into place with a specific Rolex tool. Later, the triangular pits evolved into an aesthetic design element that has become a signature feature of Rolex. Today, the triangular pits are the hallmark of the brand's watches, and this model, the Day-Date 36, has a bezel made of platinum.
